Digital Audio Cable Processing
Digital audio cable is mainly used for conversion of digital to analog and analog to digital. Apart from this it is also used for storage, transmission and digital signals for sound reproduction. This reproduction is very effective as the digital audio is discrete incase of both time and amplitude, signals can also be corrected and digital signals can be reconstituted.
The discrete nature of time and amplitude is the main criterion for reconstitution of the signals. They are also very useful for recording, manipulation and sound distribution. People now use internet to download songs, get their own music done all these are possible only by the digital audio. This has become very popular as it is found to be cheaper than others because audio signals are distributed as data files and not as physical objects. The principle of signal storage and transmission is based on the hearing ability of humans.
The sound is present as waveforms in air and it is converted to electrical form through a transducer and the signals are then stored and transmitted. The analogue signal consists of 2 or more channels for surround sound and stereo. The quality of the sound depends upon the digital and analog conversion.
The signal starts with ADC (analog to digital conversion) and fed into the electronic device. This is because electronic device understands only digital type of signals. The digital audio cable process the information and the final step is conversion of digital to analog and then release of the sound.
