Overlord II - Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC

Raising hell and absolute chaos was the theme of Overlord 1, and this trend continues in this sequel where you assume the role of a small boy called “Overlad” who is armed and ready to take on the world.

The story continues from where it left off in the first installment. This sequel sees you playing the game as Overlad, the heir to the Overlord in the first game. The boy was kidnapped by the “Glorious Empire”, a Roman civilization and taken away to the mountains of Nordberg. Hell bent on revenge, he must now reconquer the land and stop the new empire from destroying everything evil and magical.

The gameplay is similar to the first game wherein the Overlord controlled his minions (his loyal servants) and sent them to do his work. However, this sequel sees an improvement in the artificial intelligence of the minions allowing them to do more things. You can steel clothes to disguise your ugly minions. They can also help you with heavy artillery. Based on each ones color, they can climb or jump on mounts, thereby allowing them to access areas unattainable by foot. You can also allot names to your minions, and if your favorite minion dies, you can resurrect him at a Minion Graveyard.

Apart from minions, you will come across a peaceful majestic land where elves and fairies live. You will also encounter human slaves whom you can free in exchange for joining your army and helping the minions in attacking enemies.

Just like its predecessor, this game does not disappoint and will keep you interested until the very end.
