The Rise of Cobra does not make a mark as a Nintendo DS game either

The Nintendo DS game like G.I. Joe - Rise of the Cobra does some disservice to the idea of spinning off ‘hopeful’ super-hits out of ‘hopeful’ movie super-hits. This game is something that, to start off with, does not fully utilize the powers and abilities of the DS gaming gadget. It ignores the touch screen abilities of the object, eventually depending on restrictive movement scheme.
The attack design of this game is pathetic. To start off with, it gives you very limited control on how the character moves around. You cannot move in any direction apart from the eight-way mode of the controls. That is a pity since the touch pad is not explored. This might not do much good to the franchise considering the clumsy gaming, the controls, the visuals and more that are nowhere up to the mark. This game has gone seriously wrong in the fact that it puts a stop to its own forward momentum all through the game by frequent interruptions that try to get you into the story mode of the game.
However, that is nothing great especially when the story is nothing great and it is still being repeated a thousand times all over. We know this game could have been much better due to the few features throughout this that brightened up the gaming. One of them is the gun-play which has a simplicity that might appeal to some fans and regular gamers. This Nintendo DS game is better off left on the shop shelves.
